Come to beautiful Staunton, Virginia, the Queen City of the Shenandoah Valley, for an evening of great food and inspiration with Joel Salatin, one of the world’s most energizing advocates for local food.

First, enjoy a dinner on your own at one of Staunton’s renowned locavore restaurants, with special LOCAVOREFEST menus from nationally known chefs (not included in ticket price).  Then, come hear Joel Salatin of the world-renowned Polyface Farms talk about taking back our food. Joel has appeared in the movies Food, Inc. and Fresh: The Movie, in the book The Omnivore’s Dilemma by New York Times food critic Michael Pollan, and in Smithsonian, National Geographic, Gourmet, and other national magazines.

All proceeds benefit Transition Staunton Augusta, the local chapter of the worldwide Transition Town movement. The event is co-sponsored by the emerging online magazine, Transition Voice.
